Frequently Asked Question

Yes, a translation of Agamben’s Il Regno e la Gloria is planned. As of now, two translators are under contract with Stanford University Press and are working on it, but it won’t be coming out for quite a while — you probably have ample time to learn to read Italian by then. Failing that, it has been translated into French and (I believe) German.

  1. The german translation is due January 5th 2010, but I won’t hold my breath: it has been postponed countless times since September 2007, if I remember correctly…

  2. I talked to an editor from Stanford this weekend who said the translation is now in production, though she did not provide any concrete estimate of how long it will be. But there is light at the end of the tunnel.
