François Laruelle’s Non-Philosophy: A One-Day Conference

We’ve finalized all the details for the Nottingham Laruelle event on March 5th. If you do want to attend, please register by emailing me at anthonypaul[dot]smith[at]gmail[dot]com. The event is free, but we’re providing a light lunch and need to know the correct numbers in order to provide the correct level of catering.

Please circulate this information and post on your blogs.

  1. Hey APS, I remember you saying that Laruelle is given his presentation in French, but are you considering recording it anyway? I’d like to hear your introduction along with the round-table discussion.

  2. Anthony,

I will forward this to the PG mailing list here at Leeds.

How far would you say, in light of Jeremy’s comment, a decent knowledge of French represents a necessary prerequisite to getting something out of this event? (Just so I can mention it in the e-mail.)

  3. You won’t need to know French to fully participate. Laruelle’s talk will be given in French, but there will be a translation of it available to follow along with. We have a skilled translator to lead the Q&A for Laruelle’s keynote and the roundtable (for Laruelle’s benefit as well). English will be the language of the day essentially.
