For a variety of reasons, including lack of conference funding and lack of any actual desire to attend, I am missing this year’s AAR/SBL conference, much as I missed last year and the year before that. Yet I can experience all the most exciting moments through you, my readers, if you share them in comments below!

Apparently we’re not missing out on anything! Which I suppose is unsurprising.
I wanted to go, but alas, I am without funding as well and just started doctoral work in the UK. Plane ticket would’ve been quite steep…
I’m not there, either. Birth of a new child and using up my time off this year to go to Israel got in the way. Maybe next year.
There seems to be some discussion about the John Cobb/Catherine Keller appearance for homebrewed Christianity, and a publishing announcement between Tripp and Fortress press.
